The 50/50 show was designed to allow art lovers an opportunity to purchase works at a very affordable price.
* located next to each work of art you will find a box, simply fill out the tabs of the ballots that will be located throughout the space with your name and drop it into the box of the pieces you INTEND TO PURCHASE (PLEASE DO NOT STUFF THE BOX WITH MULTIPLE NAME SLIPS, IF THIS HAPPENS YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR CHANCE TO PURCHASE THE ART.)
*At around 9:15, a name will be drawn from the box and placed next to the piece of artwork.
*Once the names are placed next to the works they will be available for purchase, please locate a Six representative to buy your art. We ask that ALL purchases be taken home this evening.
*In the event that piece has not been purchased by 9:30, another name will be drawn. A name will then be drawn every 15 minutes thereafter until the piece is sold.
Have Fun and GOOD LUCK!!!!!
I’ve had a sneak peek as the works have been hung and there are going to be some lucky and happy art buyers tonight!

It’s THAT TIME OF YEAR again!!!! As you can see, we here at Dredgers Union/216 HQ are pretty darn excited about it too!
Things are a little different this time around and I for one, cannot wait. Typically, I create a temporary little retail store out of misc and random furniture and fixtures. This time, I have challenged a new design/architecture/landscape firm in town, MAKER, to take my typical budget and create a much more contemporary and clean look to house all the eclectic, colorful and whimsical items that we often get for the event.
We are going to be a little 216/retail factory over the next 2 weeks here, troubleshooting ways to house all the BAGILLIONS of amazing CLEVELAND-designed items we will have for sale June 15-17th.
Anyhow, we’ll keep you posted as we get closer, but be sure to save the date. The party, Friday June 15th will include all our favorite types of shenanigans, including DJ Peter PleasureCruise, and an after party on Greenhouse Tavern’s Rooftop featuring DJ Reena Samaan!
Don’t you just LOVE SUMMER!!!! ALSO, as long as you’ve got your calendars out…don’t forget to get your tickets NOW for Cleveland Museum of Arts Annual SUMMER SOLSTICE PARTY on June 30th. Not to be missed this year! In fact, when you attend 216 you can pick up a great party dress for the occasion!
See you soon!

This is a great article about TEDxCLE which is put on by two really good friends of the DU. Eric and Hallie’s event, TED x CLE has grown to become a force to be reckoned with. And if you feel like getting a little background info on this dynamic duo, below is a link to a video of Eric proposing to Hallie and becoming shall we say, emotional… awwwhhhhh…. We love you guys!
Here is that romantic video… It gets really good at around minute 10. enjoy!
Sean and Dana from DU recently judged Project MOCA and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. The winning look was designed by Deanna Turcotte, and is being featured in the front window of the Dredgers Union for the next two weeks. Below are some images of Deanna’s look as well as images from the event.
PS… Those are actual beetle wings on the shoulders, and hand dyed ties make up the skirt.
